Below are links to evidence of prosecutorial misconduct by Assistant Trial Counsel Capt. Bet-Sayad:
Attempting to both coerce and manipulate witness testimony and thus the court-martial process, Capt Bet-Sayad repeatedly attempted to coerce the alleged freshmen victims by telling witnesses (who had immunity) to insert the specific names ( Hannigan, Knutson, and Glaudini) into their immunity testimony. As a senior ranking officer, she was “aggressive” and threatened witnesses if they did not accept the added statements she wanted or otherwise amend their testimony.
Capt. Bet-Sayad was investigated for misconduct. The defense requested the results of this investigation but was denied. Others are currently filing FOIA requests for this report. There has been no confirmation on whether or not Capt. Bet-Sayad received a Letter of Reprimand or any other form of discipline.
